Can Vacuum Insulated Panels be cut or modified on-site during installation?
No, VIPs cannot be cut, drilled, or modified after fabrication. Any breach of the protective outer high-barrier foil will cause a loss of vacuum, raising the thermal conductivity to the level of the unevacuated core material (approx. 0.020 W/(m·K)).
