The global high-temperature insulation board industry is undergoing a critical transition. Driven by structural shifts toward environmental sustainability, manufacturing processes in metal casting, glass production, petrochemical refining, and electric vehicle (EV) battery systems require unprecedented thermal regulation. The incorporation of nano-microporous structures within high-temperature environments addresses the physical limitations of gas-phase heat conduction, effectively suppressing convective heat transfer.
Furthermore, regulatory pressures—such as the European Green Deal, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and China's "dual-carbon" goals—have elevated insulation from a standard cost factor to a core pillar of corporate environmental compliance. High-temperature boards are now required to deliver longer operating life cycles, absolute structural safety under seismic or mechanical shock, and zero outgassing of toxic components at high heat thresholds.
Global industrial purchasing organizations often face a difficult design conflict: choosing between space constraints and high thermal resistance. Typical structural systems such as heavy refractory bricks or thick mineral wool demand excessive volume, which reduces usable interior storage capacity in kilns, shipping containers, and battery packs.
By sourcing advanced fumed silica vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) and nano-microporous insulation boards from certified Chinese manufacturers, engineering teams can reduce their system insulation thickness by up to 80% while retaining the same thermal resistance. This spatial optimization allows logistics operators to increase payload volumes in cold chains, and power grid engineers to integrate highly compact energy storage cabinets without compromising fire safety.
E-E-A-T Verified Authority
Headquartered in the prestigious Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Zerothermo Technology has established its high-capacity industrial production base in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. This strategic facility is recognized as one of China's largest and most comprehensive manufacturing complexes for vacuum technology applications.
By leveraging the core technological developments of the CBVAC Group, Zerothermo combines advanced vacuum science with materials engineering. We utilize automated production lines, computerized temperature profile testing, and rigorous helium leak detection processes to guarantee the long-term reliability of our products.
Our core product lines include customized VIPs, fumed silica thermal shields, and high-temperature nano-microporous boards designed to perform under extreme industrial conditions.
Custom Engineering
We manufacture custom-dimensioned flange units (extending beyond the limits of standard ANSI, ASME, or DIN profiles) based on custom client drawings or defined thermodynamic application criteria.
Specialized fabrication for square, oval, or non-standard profiles. We produce micro-precision systems as well as oversized industrial flanges exceeding 60 inches in diameter.
Direct machining of high-temperature insulation boards to form slots, nested profiles, or specific circular interfaces, eliminating the need for on-site modifications.

Scientific Whitepaper
To understand the performance of Zerothermo's nano-microporous boards, it helps to examine the core components of thermal transfer: solid conduction, radiative transfer, and gaseous convection. Standard fibrous insulators only limit solid conduction and radiative transfer, leaving gaseous convection within the insulation pockets unchecked.
Nano-microporous insulation targets this gas-phase conduction by utilizing pore spaces smaller than the mean free path of air molecules (approx. 70 nanometers under standard atmospheric pressure). By packing fumed silica particles into pore networks smaller than 50 nanometers, gas molecules are prevented from colliding and transferring kinetic energy. This design reduces thermal conductivity below that of still air, even at elevated operating temperatures.
Manufacturing insulation panels that maintain structural integrity and a low thermal profile over long lifetimes requires precise quality control. At Zerothermo's Nanchong City facility, we monitor several critical phases:
1. Core Formulations: We select and mix high-grade fumed silica with inorganic opacifiers and reinforcement fibers to optimize structural density and block infrared radiation.
2. High-Pressure Compaction: The mixture is pressed under computer-controlled conditions to form a uniform core, avoiding structural density variances that could lead to hot spots.
3. Vacuum Seals and Film Protection: For vacuum panels, high-barrier multi-layer laminate envelopes are applied. Each panel undergoes testing to ensure a high level of vacuum retention.
