Premium Structural Solutions
In the wake of strict international carbon mitigation mandates, modern architectures require deep structural envelope optimization. Traditionally, "cheap thermal insulation roofing sheets" referred to simple corrugated metal sheets back-insulated with low-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) or fiberglass blankets. However, current global frameworks (such as the EU's Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and ASHRAE 90.1 in the United States) demand much lower thermal transmittance metrics (U-values) that traditional budget products cannot deliver without becoming impractically thick.
By shifting focus from "first-cost budget limits" to "total lifetime lifecycle value," forward-thinking engineering leads to Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs) and Fumed Silica Core structures. These technologies offer ultra-low thermal conductivity ($\approx 0.004 \text{ W/(m}\cdot\text{K)}$) while maintaining incredibly slim profiles, which saves valuable structural space and structural weight. When applied to roofing systems, these advanced materials drastically minimize heat ingress during summer peaks and heat loss during winter operations, resulting in energy savings that recoup the initial investment in short timeframes.

To understand the structural superiority of Zerothermo's vacuum-insulated products, one must review the three classic modes of heat transfer: solid conduction, gas convection, and radiation. Traditional materials focus only on restricting solid conduction by containing air pockets within polyurethane, rockwool, or expanded polystyrene structures. However, gas convection within these air bubbles remains a major path for heat transfer.
Vacuum Insulation Panels solve this issue by extracting the internal gas phase entirely, creating a state of high vacuum. Inside a VIP, the internal pressure is lowered below 1 mbar. According to the Knudsen Effect, when the mean free path of remaining gas molecules exceeds the characteristic pore size of the core material, gas conduction falls to near zero. Zerothermo utilizes a fumed silica core, which features a pore structure in the nanometer range. This nanoscale core prevents gas conduction even if minor pressure loss occurs over decades of structural thermal cyclic stress.

Industrial facility profiles present distinct microclimates and environmental challenges. Integrating standard roofing sheets with custom vacuum insulation allows engineers to address specific application needs:
Cold storage facilities operate under high internal-to-external temperature differences, causing constant thermal stress on building joints. Standard roofing systems can lead to condensation, ice accumulation, and high cooling costs. Utilizing fumed silica VIP panels in roof structures creates a continuous thermal envelope, reducing system run times and helping maintain the precise temperature zones required for pharmaceutical storage.
Large distribution centers feature vast roof areas that are highly vulnerable to solar radiation. Adding thick traditional insulation layers increases structural steel costs. High-performance, thin VIP roofing panels provide excellent insulation values without overloading the supporting framework.
Precision electronics factories demand consistent indoor climates. The high thermal resistance of fumed silica systems shields production floors from outdoor fluctuations, improving temperature control and reducing HVAC power demand.
Market Operations
Thermal integrity panels for cold chain boxes and regional transit facilities.
Integrated wall and roof systems helping achieve net-zero building designs.
Thermal shielding for elevators, industrial doors, and furnace systems.
Insulated modules for prefabricated structures and specialty cabins.
Roofing materials must withstand wind uplift, live maintenance loads, and strict local fire regulations. Zerothermo vacuum insulation panels undergo testing to verify long-term performance under these stresses.
Unlike polyurethane (PU) and polystyrene (EPS) panels, which are combustible and produce smoke without chemical fire retardants, fumed silica is naturally non-combustible. Our panels achieve an A-class non-combustibility rating. This makes them suitable for high-density logistics complexes and schools, where building codes prioritize occupant safety.
Because VIPs rely on an internal vacuum, the barrier envelope must remain uncompromised. Zerothermo panels are pre-engineered at the factory to precise layout drawings. This prevents the need for field cutting, which would puncture the vacuum membrane. During installation, panels are integrated into composite roofing sheets, shielding them from punctures, foot traffic, and thermal expansion forces.

Zerothermo is aligned with regional and global "dual-carbon" energy transition goals. Our manufacturing facilities are designed to reduce primary energy demand during core formulation and vacuum sealing processes. The longevity of fumed silica systems also prevents the frequent replacements required by traditional short-lifecycle insulation materials.
Our product research focuses on reducing barrier film weights, developing bio-based silica core materials, and improving panel recyclability. Working with partners like CBVAC, we aim to design integrated building systems that contribute to a circular construction economy.
